Some manufacturers are attempting to limit the ability of third-party repair organisations to repair their devices by implementing software locks. If you fix your phone from a company other than the manufacturer, you may lose certain functionality and receive messages about it: For example, if you replace the iPhone LCD/Display/Screen, you will receive the message “Unable to determine whether your iPhone display is a genuine Apple part. This could be because the part is not genuine, isn’t working properly, or the installation is unfinished” and you’ll lose the True Tone feature. The same goes for batteries, cameras, and other components.
Once a repair is authorized, the job cannot be cancelled. A service charge will apply for cancellation, and parts will be billed separately.
